STAGE SET FOR SUB JUNIOR NATIONAL BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN CUTTACK,ODISHA

Cuttack September 2nd 2019:- The Stage all set for the 46th Sub Junior National Basketball Championship, which begins at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium & Indoor Complex Barabati Stadium ,Cuttack on September 3rd , 2019. The Championship, hosted by the Odisha Basketball Association under the aegis of Basketball Federation of India.
Defending champions Uttar Pradesh (boys) and Maharashtra (Girls) head the field of the championship which will play on a league cum Knock out format.
The championship will have 24 teams in boys 25 teams in girls.
The championship will officially be declared open at 6.00 PM on 3rd September by Dr Achhyuta Samanta Hon MP of Kandhana
The Guest of Honours will be Shri R Vineel Krishna IAS Director Sports and Addl Secretary Sports and Youth Services Development,Govt of Odisha
Shri Ashirbad Behera Hon Secretary Odisha Athletic Association,Olympian DP Irani
Representing the Basketball Federation of India at the inauguration were Mr. Ajay Sud, Mr. Jugraj Singh, Mr. Devender Kumar, Dr. D.S. Kharab, Mr. Shakti Sinh Gohil, Mr. Devendar Singh Shekhawat, Fr. Ralin D’ Souza & Mr. Shafiq Shaikh as Convener for the Championship.

Group C – Gujarath , Jharkhand , Manipur.

Group E – Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Puducherry, West Bengal.
