Pathanamthitta boys defeated Thrissur 59-43  while in Girls Ernakulum dethroned Reigning Champions Tiruvanthpuram  40-33 to take the title of the   Laurel School International 44th Edition of Kerala State Sub Junior Basketball Championship for boys and Girls here at the Jyothinikethan Public School Flood lit Basketball Ground organised by Alappuzha District Basketball Association under the aegis of  Kerala Basketball Association.

In Boys section  it was the Maiden Title for Pathanamthitta  and was entering the final  after a gap of 10 years came on to defeat Thrissur  59-43 Jordan Cherian controlling the rebounds as well as top scoring for the team with 15 points and speedy tiny Jermy Sebastian came up with 13 points  and George K Rajeev with 12 points for Thrissur Rinil CK was the leading scorer with 17 points and Athul making 10 .

In Girls session Erankulum overcome Thiruvanthapuram with aa40-33 victory Abiz  was the top scorer with 13 points Alza came up with 12  Dona was the top scorer with 12 points for Thiruvanthapuram

Bronze for Kozhikode and Alappuzha

Kozhikode defeated Kottayam 24-12 to claim the Bronze in Girls while in boys host Alappuzha Calmed the third spot defeating Kottayam 43-24

Best Player Award in memory of PS Viswappan and cash Award by Dr. John M Chacko went to Jermy Sebastian from Pathanamthitta and Alka Redempta Ernakulum

Promising Player Award went to Dona Ivan of Thiruvanthapuram and Athul NA from Thiruvanthapuram

The Trophies and Mementoes were distributed by Sri John M Chacko chief patron Kerala Basketball Association
