Defending champions Kottayam along with Thrissur and Kozhikode from Pool A, Trivandrum, Ernakulam and winners from Idukki and Alappuzha then Pathanamthitta from PoolC and Palakkad from Poll D have mad the final eight in Boys section.
While in Girs defending champions Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur and Kozhikode from Pool A Kottayam, Thrissur and Ernakulam from B Kasargod from C and Kollam from D find their places in the Quarterfinals of the 35th Youth State Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls here at the New Indoor wooden Court of St. Pius X College, Rajapuram.
In boys league matches today Kottayam drubbed Thrissur 65-28 to top the Pool A and in other exciting boys matches Kozhikode beat Kannur 59-58, Palakkad beat Kollam 68-63 Pathanamthitta drubbed Kasargod 50-9 Ernakulam got better of Idukki53-40 and Trivandrum boys drubbed alalpuha38-10
In girls Thrissur drubbed Kottayam 65-28, similarly, Trivandrum defeated Idukki 52-18 Ernakulam scrape past Alapuzha 38-34, Kollam beat Wayanad 29-11.
