KASARGOD GIRLS START OFF WITH A VICTORY

Kasargod defeated Pallakad 31-10 on the first match of the Youth State Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls here at the New Indoor wooden Court of St. Pius X College, Rajapuram, Kasargod Athulya Ratnakaran scored 10 points for the winners

The Championship is a prelude to the 35th Youth National Basketball Championship organized by Basketball Federation of India in association with Rajasthan State Basketball Association in UDAIPUR, Rajasthan from 30th August to 7th September 2018
The State team to participate in the above nationals will be selected from this. The championship is been organized by Kasargod District Basketball Association under the Auspicious of Kerala Basketball Association on 2 Basketball Courts 14 teams in boys and Girls division.
The matches will be Played on a League cum Knock out Basis. Three teams from Group A and B and 1 each from C and D will qualify for the Knock out stage
Kottayam in Boys and Thiruvanthapuram in Girls are the defending champions

- Group A Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur
- Group B Idukki, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Trivandrum
- Group C Kasargod Pathanamthitta and Wayanad
- Group D Malapura Kollam and Palakkad
Girls
- Group A Trivandrum, Kannur, Idukki and Kozhikode
- Group B Thrissur Kottayam Ernakulum and Alapuzha
- Group C Kasrgod,Pathanamthitta and Palakkad
- Group D Kollam, Malappuram and Wayanad
