INDIAN TEAM BASKETBALL WILLIUM JONES CUP THAILAND

Jeena to Lead India
4 Malayalees In the Indian women Squad for the William Jones Cup Basketball
Jeena P S from Kerala State Electricity Board will lead India at the 40th William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament to be held in Xinzhuang Gymnasium New Taipei City, Taiwan. Four Malayalees have found their place in the final 12 along with Jeena, Stephy Nixon, Anjana PG all from Kerala State Electricity Board and Palakkad born Priyanka Prabhakar from Karnataka.

India this was an exposure one before the Asian Games starting in Jakarta and Palembang from August 18 India has not send their men’s contingent for the tournament which started on 14th and ended on 22nd July 2018, which is now participated by 9 teams.

The women’s tournament will be held from 25–29 July 2018 and will be contested by six teams. Indian women will be competing against New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Republic of China 1 and 2 which will be played on a single round robin format.

India will play the first match which was against New Zealand on the opening day, 25th July 2018
