Thodupuzha  25th  April 2019-  Thrissur Boys and  Girls along with defending champions Kottayam Boys and Thiruvananthapuram Girls entered the Semi-finals of the 36th edition of Kerala State Youth Basketball Championship  organised by Idukki District Basketball Association under the auspicious of Kerala Basketball Association at Shanthal Jyothi Public School Flood light Indoor Stadium, Muttam.

In the Quarter final match Thrissur boys defeated Alappuzha 52-28 while the girls had an easy victory over Wayanad with the score 46-13.

In other  Quarter final matches in Boys Kottayam defeated Pathanamthitta (58-28) while Thiruvananthapuram Girls had an easy victory over Alappuzha (32-7).

In the Pre-quarter final matches in the morning Boys host Idukki  defeated Kasargod(43-27) then  Pathanamthitta defeated Kannur (55-32) Kozhikode beat Kollam(60-11) Alappuzha defeated Palakkad (30-12).

In Girls Pre-quarter final Matches  Ernakulam beat Pathanamthitta(50-38)Kottayam beat Malappuram (35-6) Wayanad beat Kasargod(24-18) and Alappuzha scrape past Kollam (59-54).
