60th Senior State Basketball Championship for Men and Women was inaugurated today at the twin Basketball courts of the GVHSS Flood Lit Stadium here at Kanhagad by E Chandrasekharan MLA. This five-day championship will be played on league cum knock out Basis
On the opening day, Alappuzha team had a good run as their men defeated Palakkad 87-66 and Malappuram beat Wayanad 35-22while their women beat Wayanad 24 -10 while in another exciting match in men section Kozhikode beat Kottayam65-43 while Palakkad women defeated Kannur 49-21
