Sejin Mathew who hails from Tiruvalla Now the only Keralite at the NBA Academy in Noida and Sreekala R of St Goretti HSS Thiruvanthpauram will represent India at the second edition of the FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup in Cyberjaya, Malaysia Starting from 26th to 28th May 2017

The team is undergoing Training at the Kantheerava Stadium in Bangalore. Jeena Zacharia from Southern railway will also be with the team as Leader of the women Squad India Men is in Qualifying round along with Turkmenistan Lebanon and will Join Group C along with Bahrain and Qatar In the women’s category India will play the Qualifying round along with Turkmenistan Chinese Taipei and if qualify will Join the reigning champs from Japan will face 3×3 powerhouse Indonesia Group C The 32 participating teams (16 men’s and 16 women’s) were divided into two groups based on the FIBA 3×3 Federation Ranking after the automatic seeding of the, presented by Under Armour, The 20 best teams in the FIBA 3×3 Federation Ranking on the 1 November 2016 cut-off date (including the hosts) got an automatic spot in the main draw and were divided into 8 pools of 3. The other 12 teams were placed in a qualifying draw with 4 pools of 3. The winners of each 1 of these 4 pools will join the main draw.
