Kochi 26th April 2017- 41st Kerala State Basketball Championship For Junior Men & Women 2017 will be Inaugurated on Friday 28th April 2017 at the Don Bosco School Flood it Basketball stadium in Vaduthala. The Championship which is allotted to Ernakulum District Basketball Association will be jointly organized by Don Bosco School under the auspices of Kerala Basketball Association. This 6-day Championship which will be the prelude to the Junior National Basketball Championship to be held in Gautam Budh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh from 3rd to 11th June 2017 The State team to Participate in the National Championship will be selected from this Championship.

The championship will feature 14 District teams in Jr Men Division and 12 in Jr Women Division which will be played on a league cum Knockout Format. Top 3 teams from Pool A & Pool B, ONE each from Pool C & Pool D will qualify for the knock-out stage in Jr. Men category while Top 2 teams from each Pool in Jr. Women category.

Kottayam in Jr Men Division and Kozhikode in Junior Women Division are the reigning champions
