Kozhikode Girls retained the 42nd Sub-Junior State Basketball championship Title as they beat Thiruvananthapuram 62-51 here at the St Johns School Flood Lit Basketball Court in Anchal Shilpa Manniya Jacob was the top scorer for Kozhikode with 19 followed by Manniya Jacobwith17 points and Anupama came as the top scorer for Thiruvananthapuram with11 points.

Earlier Thiruvananthapuram boys and Girls entered the final Earlier as they beat Ernakulam in both divisions as their boys beat with the score 56-36 their girls defeated with the score 43-34 to make the final against Kozhikode who defeated Kottayam 31-10, while Kottayam boys defeated Idukki 58-41 to make the final.

Joint Winners for Bronze
Ernakulam and Kottayam in Girls Division, while Ernakulam and Idukki in boys Division declared as Joint Holders for the Bronze Position match as heavy rain, spoiled the matches in the morning.
