Hassan, Karnataka, 25th November 2016: The Kerala Boys and Girls enter the finals of the 33rd Youth National Basketball Championship 2016. In a virtual repeat of their league round head-to-head, Kerala boys yet again enjoyed a comfortable win over Tamil Nadu boys, leading pretty much from start to finish. And defeating them with the score of 87-50 while in an exciting Girls encounter after trailing 28-31 Kerala went on to beat Madhya Pradesh 77-72 to Mke the twin final

Kerala boys began on a 12-0 run before K Surya finally broke Tamil Nadu’s scoring drought with a solitary free throw. Defensively, Kerala’s athletic center and captain Sejin Mathew was a dominating presence in the paint, repeatedly swatting away Tamil Nadu’s drive in attempts.
