Semi Finalist Spotted in Women
Thiruvalla – 12 Feb 2016 –It was an electrifying day on Day 2 as Kerala Police won a thriller as they beat host Pathanamthitta district basketball team 68-65 and entered the finals while in another exciting men quarter final match S B College Changanacherry defeated Mar Baselios Engineering College Thiruvanthapuram 71-60 here for the 15th edition of the All Kerala Champions Trophy Inter Club Basketball Championship here at the St Thomas Flood Lit Basketball Ground in kurianoor they now will take on winners of SB College Changancheery and KSEB Thiruvanthapurm in the second Semi Final while in women Kerala Police will take on Providence College Kozhikode while KSEB will meet St Josephs College irnjalkuda in the Semi Final

The women match also paved an exciting finish Assumption College Changancherry in made their exit from the championship as they went down to Providence college Kozhikode 44-47 losing second straight game in the three team league allowing Providence and St Josephs to make their entry in to the semi final while In the last league round in women section providence college Kozhikode scrape past their university counterpart St Josephs College Irinjalakuda 52-48 to came as the group champions

The first men semi final which played on Thursday had more anxious moments with 48 seconds to go for the final where Kerala Police lead 35-33 but Pathanmthitta came back strongly in the third quarter to take a 51-49 lead and kept it till 44 seconds to go for the final whistle before surrendering to the professional side police Sreejith came as the top scorer with 12 points followed by jomon with10 and for pathanamthitta vineet mohan was the top scorer with 14 points

Earlier in men pre quarter final Mar Baselios College Tiruvanthapuram beat Marian college Kuttikkanam 70-46 while in an Women round robin Match St Josephs college Irinjalakuda defeated Assumption College Changancherry 49-36
