India All Set to qualify for the Quarter-Final Match after a Gap of 12 years

India in an exciting thriller in an overtime match marches defeated Iraq 93-83 to register their second straight Victory in Group A making now 2-2 here for 24th FIBA U18 Men’s Championship 2016 that is underway in Iran and has come with a strong chance qualifying to the knockout stages after a Gap of 12 years.

India which leads 61-51 at the end of 3rd Quarter but Iraq came back strongly in the last quarter f to make the score 77-77 at the end of regulation time before winning it at 93-86 Gineeb Benny also for the first time came up with a double-figure scoring 13 points for this great victory, Baladhaneshwar was Indias leading scorer with 31 points . It was in Bangalore in 2004 that India came on to the quarter-final stage where they finished 7th as Kazakhstan decided to concede it position matches and remained on 8th Place.
