Koratty – 16th Aug 2016 – Thrissur Girls and Ernakulam boys grabbed the bronze here for the 33rd edition of the Kerala Youth State Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls here at the Twin floodlit Indoor Basketball Courts of Little flower HSS Koratty on Tuesday
In Girl’s 3rd Place match, Thrissur defeated Kottayam 54-30 white in Boys Ernakulam got better of Alappuzha 69-63 final matches in Girls division Alappuzha girls who put up a combined effort with all the five players coming up with a double digit display defeated host Thrissur 95-56 to meet Kozhikode who defeated Kottayam 71-45
In boys semi-final matches Idukki showing its fine display in the championship dethroned Alapuzha 88-47 with short speedy Tom Jose again showing his class scoring 52 points for his team to make the final to meet Kottayam who had an easy victory over Ernakulam with the score 54-19
