FIELD DAY FOR INDIA AS THEY DRUBBED BANGLADESH & SRI LANKA ON THE OPENING DAY

New Delhi, 1st June, 2016: Lead by P Baladhaneshwar from Tamil Nadu and Coached by J P Singh the defending champion Indian U18 men’s basketball team drubbed host N Bangladesh 90-31 in the morning and in the evening beat Sri Lanka 127-52 here for the South Asian (SABA) U 18 Championship 2016.
In the Morning against Bangladesh, Indian scoring is lead by Vishal Kumar, making 15 and Gineeb Benny with 13 and P Baladhaneshwar contributing 12 while in the evening Gineeb Benny leads the scoring tally with 21 points followed by
captain Baladhaneshwa with 19 points.
This two days Championship will serve as the qualifier for FIBA Asia Championship apart from India-Nepal, Sri Lanka and hosts Bangladesh are Participating. India now only has to play against Nepal to qualify themselves for the Asian Championship.
