Inaugural Victory for Central Excise
Customs & Central excise Kochi registered inaugural victory as they beat host Feasto Kozhikode 62-53, while in women matches KSEB beat Providence Kozhikode 63-27 and Southern railway beat Kerala Police 67-52 on the Inaugural day of the FEASTO All India Basketball Tournament for men &women here at VK Krishna Menon Indoor Stadium in Kozhikode. The championship which was been revived after an gap of 17 years was inaugurated by worshipful mayor of Kozhikode V K C Mammed Koya. In the inaugural match Central excise which lead 43-26 at the half time was top scored by Abhilash TS with 15 points followed by Shinumon Augustine with 12 and Nikhil KR making 11 and for FEASTO was top scored by Jishnu G Nair with 15points

In the Second match of the day Kerala State electricity Board women which had three current sr internationals on the side Jeena PS, Anjana PS and Stephy Nixon won the second match as they beat Providence Kozhikode 66-27 after leading 43-26 at half time with International Jeena PS top scoring for electricity board with 16 points

The last match of the day after an evenly poised first half Southern Railway Chennai beat Kerala Police 67-52 with veteran Renjini Peter top scoring for railways with 18 points followed by international Raja Priyadarshini scoring 15 points for the victory for Police Lijimol came as the top scorer with 11 points
