Kasargod 17th April 2016 :- The quarter finals matches will start on te morning while the Semi Finals will play in the evening on 18th April here for the 40th edition of the Kerala Junior State Basketball Championship for Junior Men and Junior Women which was organised by Kasargod District Basketball Association under the auspicious of Kerala Basketball Association here at the Newly Built Pilicode Panchayath Maidan in Kalikadavu, Kasargod ..
On Sunday Kottayam, Thrissur, Alappuzha & Pathanamthitta have joined Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kannur Junior Men to complete the quarter Final line up while Kottayam, Kollam, Alappuzha, Thiruvananthapuram joined Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kannur and Idukki in the Junior women section.
In an deciding encounter in Junior women section Alappuzha defeated Ernakulam 41-36 and Kollam beat Kasargod 55-45 to make the quarter while Pathanamthitta a Boys beat Kasargode 61-34 to Make themselves qualify for the quarterfinal.
In other league matches junior men Thrissur beat Alappuzha(59-48),Pathanamthitta got better of Kasargod(61-34) and Kollam beat Wayanad(28-7) and in Junior women Thrissur beat Alappuzha(52-24) Trivandrum beat Kottayam(33-21)
