NBA JAM KOZHIKODE TITLE FOR S H CMI PUBLIC SCHOOL AND ASSUMPTION COLLEGE

Changanacherry Now Will travel to Kozhikode on 30th March 2016 at Devagiri Public School
SH CMI Public School took the Boys Title as they beat Visawajyothi Collge of Engineering Vazhakulam 9-6 while Assumption College Changancherry retained the Girls title as they beat Shanthal Jyothi Public School Muttam 8-2 here for the finals of the 3on 3 NBA jam the shorter version of the Basketball the largest 3-on-3 College Basketball at the age f group of 14 to 24 ever held in India, The Game was a 6 minute game played on a half Basketball court with 3 players in each team as it finished here at the Sacred Heart CMI Public School Thevara which was organized by NBA India.
Total of 42 teams participated and 70 matches were played in this one day Basketball Festival which was played on a league cum Knockout format. Kochi was the 14th out of 23 Cities in India were the NBA jam is taking place. The 15th one will now take place at Kozhikode Devagiri CMI Public School on 30th of March (this Month)
In the Semi-final in boys section, Viswajyothi defeated Marian College Kuttikkanam 4-3 while SH Public School defeated All Stars Club 8-5 to make the final while girls experienced Assumption college Changancherry had no difficulty in beating shanthal Jyothi Muttam and St Theresa College Ernakulam to make the final clash again with Shanthal
The Trophies and mementos were distributed by P J Sunny Chairman of selection committee Basketball federation of India and Adv Salim KA Secretary Ernakulum District Basketball Association.
Quarter-final results:- SH CMI beat MES College A team 8-6, Viswajyothi beat MES B team 6-1, Marianite Warriors beat GLC Spurs 8-4, All Star beat Shanthaljyothi Muttam 8-5 to reach semi final
