KSEB women claimed the Advani Cup in Jaipur
Kerala State Electricity Board Thiruvantharam women defeated Southern Railway Chennai 62-60 to claim the Women title of the 18th All India Advani Memorial Basketball Tournament here at MREC Jaipur
KSEB defeated Southern Railway who were with Four current Internationals with Smruthy R K working at Thruvanthapuaram also Joined the existing three Internationals that Played last week in Kozhikode could not avenged the defeat they had last week against KSEB riding on with three senior Internationals Jeena PS , Stephy Nixon and Anjana PG had a good start of 23-13 at the first quarter but experienced railway fought back strongly getting a 1 point lead 36-35 when the buzzer end for the 1st half and the Third quarter saw an equally fighting team and ended up the session with the score of 49-49 before substitute Rojamol converted the two free throws she got to make Electricity Board the winner wit 2points. For EB Stephy Nixon came as the top scorer with 18points followed by Jeena PS with 15b and for Railway veteran Ranjini Peter shows that she is still god player to reckon with and came back as the top scorer with 19 points and another veteran Anitha with 12 points
