46th Sub Junior National Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls from  3rd  to 9th 2019 September

Kerala Girls in to the Quarter Finals   

Cuttack September 6th 2019 : Kerala Girls along with  Maharashtra, Karnataka,Tamil Nadu,Rajasthan,Delhi while in boys  Haryana ,Tamil Nadu ,Chhattisgarh ,Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Punjab confirmed the quarter final berth  at the  46th Sub Junior National Basketball Championship, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium & Indoor Complex  Barabati Stadium Cuttack in Men division Rajasthan.

From the lower group qualification matches to the Pre Quarter finals in Girls Telengana defeated Gujarat (56-34) and Madhya Pradesh beat West Bengal (82-53) while in Boys Mizoram beat Telengana(54-26) and Madhya Pradesh beat Chandigarh(104-73) they will now join in boys Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Girls Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

Kerala in an Group A Girls in an evenly contested match defeated Punjab(65-60) with Merin Luis top scoring with 21 points to confirm the Quarter final from Group A  morning lost to Maharashtra 47-70.

In the last day of the league matches,started with the match in girls division where Maharashtra met Kerala, Maharashtra had a bad start and trailed 28-36 at the interval but fight back strongly in the third quarter and took the lead 49-43 before winning the match at 70-47 with pragati leading the score chart with 16 points similarly the boys  also had a good game as they beat Punjab 71-61.

In another Group match in boys Haryana recorded their third successive victory in Group A as they defeated the defending champion Uttar Pradesh 76-25, Rajasthan continued their winning run as they drubbed Bihar 88-38 to top the Group B and in another Group A match Tamil Nadu defeated Chhattisgarh 61-49.
