New Professional league in the State KBA to Introduce U21 and U11 Championship in the State
Thrissur: V.C Hashim from Thalasserry, the President of Kannur Basketball Association has been unanimously elected as President of Kerala Basketball Association. The arrival of Hashim marks the exit of P J Sunny , executive member of Basketball Federation of India who now be the Member of High Power Committee.
The Decision was taken in the Annual General body meeting of the Kerala Basketball Association held at Motimahal Hotel in Thrissur.
State to Introduce a Professional League
This year Kerala Basketball Association will start a four day Professional Basketball League for Men and Women U 23 age with Four Teams each having two foreign players in the team..
The New Championship for Kerala
In addition to the exciting State basketball Championships (Senior,Junior(U18), Youth (U16) and Mini (U14) two more state championships will add in the a state . It will be the age group championship of Under 21 and will conduct at Kozhikode this shall be conducted before the Khelo India Games every year.
A grass root level programme an Under 11 Micro championship for Boys and Girls.
