Coaching Clinic hosted by Reliance Foundation Jr NBA at YMCA Alapuzha
Alapuzha – As part of the reliance foundation Jr NBA Programme in Kerala after finishing the regional competitions in Sports Hub Indoor complex in thiuvanthapuram held a 2 hr each Coaching Clinic for U14 & U17 boys from Alapuzha.
Kids and Coaches brought by Allapuzha district Basketball Assocation at YMCA Alapuzha were welcomed to the clinic that was conducted by conducted by Sara Gayler the coach from USA who is training a mens team in USA and Carla Paloma from spain was also assisted by Prem a FIBA level 2 coach from Kerala.
Sarah said, “The heart behind holding these coaches clinics is just to share the game. From coach Sarah perspective and the success that she has had with the men’s team in USA really just trying to share with our coaches and Kids here on Alapuzha the system that she runs and the culture behind it. The minds set behind it and really just trying to share the game of basketball with the coaches.”
Topics at the clinic included Player Development, Practice Planning, Transition Offense, Man-to-Man Defense and Building a Winning Culture.
Both of them worked with U14 80 of them which turned out at YMCA in the morning and will work with U17boys in the evening.
They also had an visit at Jyothinikethan School in Alapuzha.
