SEJIN MATHEW AND SREEKALA R TO RECEIVE INR 50,0000 AS COVID 19 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM BFI, FOUR FROM KERALA IN THE LIST OF 47

Sejin Mathew and Sreekala R both from Mar Ivanios College Trivandrum will receive INR 50,000 while Anu maria from Assumption College Changancherry and Mahesh R from St Ephremes HSS Mannanam will receive INR 25,000  as   President, Basketball Federation of India K Govindaraj  took the great initiative to support financially the players, who need Financial Assistance during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

The objective is to provide basic financial relief to the Players who are not holding employment amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to be able to assist them to resume their educational & sporting activities. The Players who have represented India at International Level will be given Rs.50,000/- one time Financial Assistance and the  Players who have attended the National Coaching Camps but couldn’t make it to the Indian Team will be given Rs.25,000/-as  one time Financial Assistance.

For this The President, Basketball Federation of India constituted a committee to shortlist the National Players who needs financial Assistance: The committee   lead by  Mr. Chander Mukhi Sharma Secretary general  of BFI as Chairman and R R Rajan ,Karnataka as    Convener with members . Bhupender Shahi  (UP3. Shakti Sinh Gohil (Gujarat) Dr. Suman Sharma(Punjab) Gautom Ganguly (Bengal)  Mr. Ajay Sud ( HP)  Mrs. Prasanna Jaishankar (Railways )    Mr. Mohit Bhandari (rajasthan)  held  virtual meetings in the last 10 days & shortlisted the 47 Nos of  players with the recommendations from State Secretaries.
