LOURDEAN BASKETBALL INAUGURATED

Kottayam District Collector Sr U V Jose IAS inaugurated the 13thedition of the Lourdean Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls here at the Lourde Flood Lit Stadium in Kottayam. 16 teams in Boys and 12 teams in Girls are taking part inthis 4 day tournament . Tournament started with a tribute to Dr APJ Abdulkalam
In the Inaugural match Lourdes Public School Kottayam defeated Sacred Heart HSS Changancherry 65-39 with Pranav Suny making 15 points for the winners followed byJacob Anil and Allan francis scoring14 points each
Earlier in the morning qualifying Matches to the League Round Sacred Heart HSS Thevara defeated Christ Central School Thiruvalla 50-37 while St Anns HSS Kurianad beat while Lourde B 33-16, Mar baselios mannanam defeated LPS 10-5 team got better of Excelxior School Kottaym 18-8 and Don Bosco HSS irinjalakuda beat AKM School Changancherry 37-10
