Punjab Men and Indian railways women Unbeaten

Karnataka Men stuns Defending Champion Tamil Nadu

Bhav Nagar – 7th Jan 2019 – Indian railway women and Kerala women continued their Victory in GroupA and Group B similarly while Punajb and Utharkhand stayed unbeaten group A and B respectively in men while Karnataka defeated defending champiom Tamil Nadu here on the 3rd day of the 69th National Basketball Championship for Men and Women -in Bhavnagar, Gujarat

In women Indian railways made their 3rd straight victory against Tamil Nadu (91-67) while Kerala had their second straight victory in Group B women over Thelengana 79-27

The match of the day was indeed between defending champion Tamil Nadu and Karnataka where Karnataka stunned the defending champion with the score 84-80 . the match which sat the lead changing 6 times tying up the score 3 times . Karnataka which had a good start and lead 34-20 at the fag end of 2nd quarter and the 3rd quarter saw tamil Nadu coming back in to the game and lead 73-62 , The last quarter saw Karnataka again coming back to the game and beat Tamil Nadu (84-80), Anil kumar was the leading Scorer for karnatka with 25 Points supported by Aravind making 17 points for Tamil Nadu Hariram lead the scoring chart with 22 points
