DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR THIRUVANTHAPURAM IN THE 63RD SENIOR STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR MEN & WOMEN , 4TH TO 9TH DECEMBER 2018

Athirampuzha – Thiruvananthapuram retained Men and Women Title as they beat Kollam(81-66) in women and Thrissur(81-66) in Men here for the 63rd Senior State Basketball Championship, at the St Aloytius Ground Athirampuzha organised by JCI Athirampuzha and Kottayam District Basketball Association under the aegis of Kerala Basketball Association, while Ernakulum men and women grabbed the Bronze medal as they beat Kozhikode (64-42) and Palakkad (44-31)

The women final With both teams dominating the players from KSEB final match was an evenly contested one till the end of the third quarter as the score reads (50-49) in favour of Trivandrum but the ten minutes saw experience International trio of Trivandrum Jeena , Stephy and Anjana made all difference to make them the champions for the sixth consecutive year. Stephy Leads the scoring chart for Trivandrum with 30 points followed by Anjanna scoring 25 and Jeena with 13, for Kollam Kavitha was the leading scorer with 19 points and was supported by Minnu Maria and Amrutha making 18 points each.

The men the Trivandrum out fit also anchored by Players from KSEB Played a collective game as they lead 28-11 at the interval, defeated the Younger Out Fit Thrissur virtually the Kerala Varma College Team 63-50
