Defending Champions Sacred Heart Thevara in boys while St Gorethios ,Thiruvanthapuram won the Boys and Girls Title of the 4th AKM Trophy Interschool Basketball Tournament here at AKM Public School Changanacherry, In Mini Division AK M School AKM School had a mixed fortune as their Micro C Division Bots took the title defeating Jyothi nikthan School Alapuzha42-22 while the Sub Junior boys went down to experienced Shanathaljyothi School from Todupuza with the score 29-37

In an evenly fought the Boys division final Sacred heart defeated host AKM Changancherry with the score 61-53 with Paul top scoring for the winners with 28 points and for AKM captain Althaf Salim made 24 points

In the Girls Final riding on with State Star Sreekala R who came as the top scorer of the team with 16 points defeated Jyothinikethan School Alapuzha 43-21 helping St Gorethios from Thiruvanthapuram a maiden title in the All Kerala Basketball School Circuit

Earlier in Boys Semi finals SH Thevara Scrape past Silver Hill HSS from Kozhikode 67-65 beat while host AKM School beat Jyothinikethan School Alalpuzha 46-26

In Girls Semi Finals matches St Gorethios beat St Josephs GHS Alapuz39-18 while Jyothinikethan got better of Shanthal jyothi Muttam 40-29
