KERALA BASKETBALL PRODIGIES FLY TO TAIWAN FOR ELITE INTERNATIONAL TRAINING STINT
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM — In a historic milestone for Kerala sports, four of the state’s brightest youth basketball prodigies have departed for Taiwan to undergo an intensive, month-long international training scholarship. This pioneering player development initiative marks the very first international development programme to emerge directly from the inaugural season of the Basketball League Kerala (BLK Season 1).
The elite project is organised by Starting Five Sports Management Pvt. Ltd., in strategic collaboration with Ekalavya’s Consultancy, Chung Hua Girls Junior High School, and Chuangwei Boys Junior High School—both premier institutions located in Yilan County, Taiwan.
The program follows the athletes' standout performances during BLK Season 1, where they excelled against top-tier competition. The four selected players representing the state include:
•    Arz Shaji (GEMS Basketball Academy, Kochi / Represented Thrissur Tuskers in BLK)
•    Devarsh K. Vinod (AKM School, Changanasserry / Represented Calicut Warriors in BLK)
•    Alena Alphonsa Angel (Providence HSS, Kozhikode now Joined Delhi public school East,Banglore/ Represented Trivandrum Capitals in BLK)
•    Neha Vinish (Little Flower HSS, Koratty / Represented Trivandrum Capitals in BLK)

The high-performance camp has drawn significant attention from premier Taiwanese basketball scouts. Over the next four weeks, the players will undergo high-intensity, pro-level training schedules in Yilan County. The curriculum features advanced technical drills, tactical classrooms, and competitive matches designed to sharpen their skills on the global stage.
This exposure program aims to establish a sustainable global pipeline for Kerala's basketball talent, paving the way for future international academic and athletic scholarship opportunities. The Kerala Basketball fraternity has extended its full support to these young champions as they take flight for this historic stint.
