Once they got the first-game jitters out of the way, India was ruthless in their next contest, as they beat inexperienced Guam 107-42 and the next game against Singapore 79-49. Then in the semi-final, India was matched up against Group B runners-up Hong Kong and confidently beat them 83-38
The final were India Played against – Kazakhstan -, in what was supposed to be a closer one bur from the start, India led 32-18 after the first half and pushed the lead to 54-30 after three quarters. The final score read 68-45 as India celebrated their Division B victory. Karnataka Bopaiah, who definitely emerged as the team’s knockout stage MVP, finished with 74 points and 59 rebounds from 5 Matches.
